Number 1. TOPSEAT TinyHiney Potty Toilet Seat. Offering a more convenient way to potty train your toddler, the TinyHiney Potty Toilet Seat from Topseat was our favorite of all the seats we tried. Unlike many seats that have to be removed for an adult to use the toilet, this seat is a permanent fixture that features two separate seats; one for adults and one for kids. When an adult needs to use the toilet, they can simply lift the kids’ seat like a lid and the adult seat is right underneath. Unlike some seats we tested that were made of flimsy plastic, this seat is built from wood, giving it a solid feel like it’s built to last.
Material: Durable wood construction
Dimensions: 14 x 2.5 x 19 inches
Item Weight: 6.5 Pounds
Number 2. Munchkin 16143 Sturdy Potty Seat. If you’re looking for the easiest inexpensive solution to get the job done, then you might be after the Munchkin 16143 Sturdy Potty Seat. It costs considerably less than some of the other seats we liked most. Despite the lower price, it’s a great fit for kids and makes potty training easier, safer, and fun, which is why we think it’s the best toilet seat for toddlers for the money. To make sure the seat doesn’t slip around and scare your toddler, this one has a non-skid edge that keeps it firmly in place.
Dimensions: 13.5 x 3.38 x 15 inches
Item Weight: 0.02 Pounds
Number 3. MAYFAIR 88SLOW NextStep2 Toilet Seat. The MAYFAIR 88SLOW NextStep2 Toilet Seat is one of the most expensive toddler toilet seats we tested, but it’s also one of our absolute favorites because of how convenient it is. With this seat, you don’t have to remove or replace anything. With separate seats for kids and adults, you can just lift the child’s seat out of the way when you need to use the toilet. But the adult’s seat is a little on the small side for some people. What really makes this seat special is its slow-closing feature. This lid won’t slam. Instead, it closes slowly every time, ensuring that fingers don’t get smashed.
Shape: Toilet Seat
Dimensions: 16.81 x 14.38 x 2.19 inches
Item Weight: 7.25 Pounds
Number 4. OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty. More than just a potty seat for toddlers, the OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty also doubles as a portable potty for when emergencies happen on the go. Just put a plastic bag on it, tucking the ends into the flexible flaps to hold it in place, and you’ve got a toddler potty wherever you need it. But when you’re near a real toilet, you can flip the legs out and place the OXO tot on the toilet for use as a regular toddler toilet seat. Unlike some seats that didn’t fit every toilet we tried, this one seems to fit pretty much any toilet. But it’s not very secure and tends to slide around more than some others.
Style: 2-in-1 Travel Potty
Dimensions: 11 x 11 x 2.5 inches
Item Weight: 1.5 Pounds
Number 5. Summer Infant 11530 2-in-1 Toilet Training Seat. This 2-in-1 Toilet Training Seat from Summer Infant is a great concept, but it’s not built very well. It features two separate seats; one for kids and one for adults. This is great, but the seat is constructed from thin, flimsy plastic. The whole thing feels very cheap, and if you were to stand on the lid while it was closed, it would very likely break. We like that you don’t have to remove and replace the lid for people of different sizes, just lift the children’s lid out of the way. But other flaws in this seat’s design prevented it from being one of our favorites.
